Trevolution Group has reported a remarkable 457 percent increase in the number of tickets issued to travelers visiting the Philippines in 2022 compared to 2021. Over 105,000 tickets to and from the Philippines were sold this year.
Peter Vazan, the Executive Vice President of Industry Relations, explained that the Philippines has been one of the top destination spots for travelers worldwide even before the pandemic, and with the country’s reopening, the demand for travel has significantly increased. The Philippines aims to double tourist arrivals and reach 5 million tourists in 2023, compared to 2.6 million in 2022.
“Thanks to the significant demand for travel between the United States and the Philippines, driven by the 4.2 million Filipino Americans, we have focused on entering and securing our position in the Filipino market. Our various brands have been offering affordable quality services to thousands of customers each month,” Peter explained.
The top Filipino destinations from US airports in 2022 were Manila, Cebu, Laoag, Mabalacat, and Davao. The average round-trip economy ticket between the US and the Philippines was priced at USD 1300.
