Duration: 6 months | Preferred start: TBD (flexible)
Hours: 32+ hours per week (hybrid: 3 days in the office / 2 days work from home)

Eligibility (Strict requirements — please read carefully before applying):
  • You must be currently enrolled as a student at a Dutch university or higher education institution for the entire duration of the internship.
  • You must remain a student throughout the internship (applications from graduates or students nearing graduation before the start date will not be considered).
  • You must be legally permitted to work in the Netherlands:
    • Dutch students: no restrictions
    • International students: must already hold a valid residence permit or student visa that allows internship work
  • Visa sponsorship is not provided for this position.
  • Applicants who are not currently studying in the Netherlands will not be considered.
  • This internship is a temporary learning experience and does not guarantee or imply future employment with the company.
  • This is a practical internship (meeloopstage), NOT a graduation/thesis internship (afstudeerstage)

Your Role

We are looking for a Physics, Mathematics, or Quantitative Sciences student to join our Commercial Team as a Pricing & Quantitative Automation Intern.

This internship is designed for someone who enjoys modelling complex systems, building algorithms, and turning messy real-world data into structured decision frameworks. You’ll play an active role in our transition mission, working on challenges that directly impact how we operate and grow. This role sits at the intersection of quantitative modelling, software automation, and commercial strategy.

If you enjoy thinking about markets as dynamic systems and building algorithms that compete in real-time environments, this role will allow you to apply those skills to a live global marketplace.

What You’ll Do
  • Analyse large datasets to understand demand patterns, price competitiveness, and conversion behaviour
  • Build mathematical or statistical models that help explain pricing dynamics
  • Develop scripts and tools that convert pricing logic into automated workflows
  • Design rule-based and model-based pricing strategies
  • Explore machine learning approaches for price recommendation and demand prediction
  • Build analytical scripts, or dashboards that support pricing decision-making
  • Work with Data and Engineering teams to structure datasets and pipelines
  • Help translate business logic into algorithmic frameworks
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s student in Physics, Mathematics,Computational Science, Engineering, Statistics, Quantitative Economics or a similar quantitative field
  • Experience working with data structures and large datasets
  • Exposure to machine learning or statistical modelling is a strong advantage
  • Comfort working with algorithms, simulations, or optimisation problems
  • Curiosity about how complex systems behave and how to model them
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
  • Ability to translate abstract ideas into practical solutions
  • Comfortable working independently in an exploratory environment
  • Interest in automation, algorithms, and real-world data systems
