Product Owner

Product Management / Latvia, Riga

As a Product Owner for our internal travel systems, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of our platform. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, designers, and stakeholders to identify new features, define product requirements, and prioritize initiatives. You’ll use your analytical and strategic thinking skills to ensure that our product remains competitive, user-friendly, and aligned with our business objectives.

All projects and products are within the Travel Division, and include among others involuntary schedule change management, ticket coupon status monitoring, flight delay compensations. You will help define the future strategy and features, identify weaknesses and improve current processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment of business goals and product objectives, and to understand stakeholder needs.
  • Present regular progress updates to stakeholders.
  • Conduct a thorough analysis of business processes, systems, and requirements.
  • Gather and document business requirements, translating them into functional specifications.
  • Define product scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Develop delivery plans and schedules.
  • Execute product development within scope and time constraints.
  • Ensure deliverables meet the required quality standards.
  • Monitor progress and performance, identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Lead and motivate development team members, assigning tasks and responsibilities, and providing support and guidance.
  • Coordinate and manage cross-functional teams, ensuring clear communication of product scope, requirements, and alignment of goals.
  • Identify areas for improvement and provide actionable recommendations to optimize processes.
  • Perform data analysis and provide insights to support decision-making processes.

Requirements:

  • Experience with travel technology and/or the airline industry is highly preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in Product Management of IT products, with an understanding of both back-end and front-end development and a good knowledge of user experience.
  • Strong leadership qualities to inspire and motivate team members, resolve conflicts, and facilitate collaboration.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple products simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, team members, and neighboring departments.
  • Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Proficiency in written and verbal English.
  • Experience with Agile methodology and project management tools such as Jira or Asana.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Compensation:

Not less than 3,500 EUR Gross per month.
