Britons looking for new culinary experiences this summer should visit part of Spain for a “world-class food experience not to miss out on”. This is according to travel expert at Skyluxtavel, Alonso Marly, who spoke exclusively to GB News about why it is worth adding San Sebastián to your travel list. He said: “While some travellers look for sightseeing trips and adventure tours, others prefer a more delicious experience to indulge in while going abroad.” The expert recommended holiday spots like South America and Tokyo as great for foodies to visit. However, he said those looking in Europe could find the best cuisine in the Spanish city. Alonso said: “Located in Spain’s Basque Country, San Sebastián is a must-visit European culinary gem renowned for both high-end gastronomy and its down-to-earth pintxos culture. “Despite its small size, the city also has an impressive concentration of Michelin-starred restaurants, such as Arzak and Mugaritz, which combine an avant-garde approach with local Basque ingredients.” Holidaymakers have access to renowned restaurants, but the expert shared the great food is not exclusive to the fancy restaurants.
